Design Story
Orb - named for the path that never arrives and never departs - a continuous arc around a fixed centre. The charcoal base is carved in a rounded, slightly compressed form: wider than it is tall, suggesting mass and rotation simultaneously. In a room, it reads like an object in motion held still by the weight of the wood beneath the finish.
