Design Story
Shila 01 is a frame built from the sea. Each piece of nacre - mother-of-pearl - is cut and set by hand, tile by tile, into the wood base. No two inlay patterns are identical. The gold border is drawn fine, almost architectural, holding the iridescent field in place without overpowering it. In different lights, the frame shifts - ivory, then rose, then silver. This is a mirror that changes with the hour.
